Abstract

The present research work had the purpose of analyzing a study on the amount of interactions of unlocking the mobile device as a technological tool in young people from 16 to 18 years of age according to their gender, the methodology used for the analysis of the problem was field through a quantitative approach, non-experimental, with a longitudinal descriptive level of research using a sample of 28 young people (14 men and 14 women), the instruments used to count the interactions of unlocking the mobile device were two applications (Look Counter for Android system and RealizD-screen time tracker for iOS), in the analysis of the counted data, the normality and homogeneity test was performed to determine the type of statistics to work, being this non-parametric and obtaining as a result through the Mann-Whitney U test the rejection of the null hypothesis and accepting the research hypothesis, because the p-value is less than 0.05 with a reliability of 95, 44%, establishing that there is a difference in the amount of interactions of unblocking a mobile device as a technological tool according to the gender of the same causing affectations in the quality of life developing high impact addictions, little physical social communication and in some cases even physical discomfort.
