This article presents the development of an augmented reality-based mobile application for controlling a conveyor belt in Industry 4.0. The application was created using Unity and Vuforia software, and a conveyor belt was designed with Fusion 360 software. Additionally, a dashboard was implemented on the Ubidots web platform to monitor and control the parameters of the Lucas Nulle conveyor belt in the Industry 4.0 laboratory. The results demonstrate that augmented reality can be a useful tool to improve control and supervision of operations in Industry 4.0. It is concluded that this approach is a dynamic way for students to use IoT platforms.
