Convocatoria 5ta Edición para la publicación de artículos científicos en la Revista TECH
Quinta Edición revista de divulgación científica TECH
Aplazamiento Fechas Importantes
TECH Journal is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility and preservation of all of its content. To ensure that the articles and documents associated with each issue of the journal are reliably available for future generations, we implement a series of digital preservation policies and strategies detailed below:
1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).
The journal participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a free digital preservation service offered by Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for all journals that operate on the OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform and meet the basic requirements established by PKP. This network allows the preservation of journal contents in different nodes distributed worldwide, ensuring the durability and security of our digital archives.
LOCKSS and CLOCKSS
In line with our preservation practices and in order to guarantee a secure and permanent archive, TECH magazine articles are archived in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems. These preservation networks replicate and store copies of content in multiple geographic locations, protecting the integrity of our archives against loss or digital deterioration and ensuring that access to them is perpetual.
Archived issues can be found in the LOCKSS Editorial Manifesto: https://revistatech.istcarloscisneros.edu.ec/index.php/tech/gateway/lockss. In this way, articles are progressively archived, ensuring that the stored digital information can remain and continue to be used in the future.
CLOCKSS stores and distributes journal content to participating libraries through the CLOCKSS Publisher Manifest page: https://revistatech.istcarloscisneros.edu.ec/index.php/tech/gateway/clockss.
2. Internal Preservation and Storage Policies
In addition to the PKP Preservation Network, TECH journal maintains internal backup and archiving policies that complement the digital preservation process. Our editorial team stores each issue of the magazine in secure digital repositories, including cloud platforms such as Google Drive. Each edition includes the following documents:
Articles and final versions approved for publication.
Email communication between authors, reviewers and editors.
Review and evaluation reports.
Additional editorial documentation generated during the publication process.
These files are kept organized according to the best document management practices to facilitate their access and internal consultation, if necessary for administrative, auditing or historical reference purposes.
3. Editorial Management and Access to Digital Repositories
In order to strengthen long-term preservation and accessibility, the Editorial Committee of TECH journal establishes periodic protocols for the review and updating of the digital repositories where documents are stored. All digital content is safeguarded under appropriate security measures, and annual reviews are conducted to ensure the integrity of the documents. The editorial management of these files in Google Drive is done with restricted permissions and access controls, ensuring that sensitive and private information is kept under confidential conditions.
With these preservation policies, TECH journal reaffirms its commitment to provide lasting access to its scientific content, thus contributing to the continuity of academic knowledge and the preservation of the documentary heritage generated in each edition.
