Abstract

This document is a bibliographic research about the state of the art regarding studies on the field of microwaves and their use for the implementation of sensors, focused on the biological area, i.e. biosensors that can detect certain biological components such as chemicals, applying certain properties of electromagnetism, by obtaining data on permittivity and permeability by applying electromagnetic waves at a frequency and measuring them through reflection and/or transmission techniques, in organic materials, in this case specifically in blood, so that by applying a non-invasive technique, conclusive analysis or diagnosis of possible problems, diseases or disorders that a patient may have can be performed and that the ordinary way of detection is through clinical blood tests.
